Healthcare Management, A.A.S.

The Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare Management provides students with foundational knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the operational aspects of healthcare organizations. The program addresses key areas such as health insurance, healthcare revenue cycle, and legal and ethical concepts in healthcare that extend beyond direct patient care. An emphasis is also placed on health information management, including electronic health records, data, privacy, and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and external accreditors. Students will gain practical knowledge of common healthcare systems and technologies, operations management, and the business aspects of healthcare delivery, preparing them for essential support roles in various healthcare settings.
